1. Introduction
Fully Send It ("we", "our", or "the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No files. Files are transferred directly between users via WebRTC. No file content ever passes through or is stored on our servers.
- No accounts. We do not require registration or store any personal account information.
- No cookies. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.
3. Information We Do Collect
- Aggregate statistics. We persistently track the total number of files and volume of data transferred through the Service. This data is stored in a local file on the server, is anonymous and non-identifiable, and is displayed publicly on our homepage. It is never reset unless deliberately cleared by the server administrator.
- IP Address (Peer-to-Peer). Your IP address and port are shared directly with the peer you connect with as a technical requirement of WebRTC. This is not collected by our server. See Section 5 of our Terms of Service for more details.
- WebSocket signaling data. To establish peer-to-peer connections, minimal connection metadata (such as WebRTC session descriptions and ICE candidates) passes through our signaling server in transit. This data is never logged or persisted.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider may collect standard access logs (IP addresses, timestamps, request paths) as part of normal server operation. These are not used for tracking individual users.
4. GDPR Compliance
We believe this Service is privacy-by-design. Since we do not collect or process personal data in any meaningful way, a formal GDPR data processing basis is not required for our core Service functionality. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and have concerns, please contact us.
5. Data Security
We strongly recommend deploying this Service over HTTPS to ensure that the WebSocket signaling channel is encrypted in transit (WSS). File transfers via WebRTC DataChannels are encrypted by default using DTLS.
6. Third-Party Services
This Service loads resources from third-party CDNs (Tailwind CSS, QRCode.js, Google Fonts). Your browser may send requests to these third parties, which are subject to their own privacy policies.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
8. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through the project's source code repository. You may also review our Terms of Service.
